Fear/Break Loose/

Inspiring and encouraging others to break free from what’s holding them back from a great and fulfilling life

“Vision”…..& Happy New Year!

I hope you are having a great start to your new year! So it’s been a while since I posted anything but learning to organize my time better so I can chat with y’all more often.

I posted a video on Facebook last weekend talking about vision and yes..vision boards. This topic of vision hit my heart in a different way because I feel that there are people living day to day with no vision or plan for their lives. Now there could be a number of reasons for that. You may spent most of your life drowning in disappointment and lost hope in your dreams. Or you were brought up in a crazy household and allowed it to define your life. Or if you were like me and allowed Satan’s lies disguised as people’s negative opinions or the “put downs” in your head to limit your ability to achieve great things. Or what about the torture of your past coming against you as soon as your pen hit the paper to write your vision….

Think about this. Can anyone control your hands and stop you from writing your next book or making life-changing music? Can anyone control your mouth and keep it shut so you can’t declare greatness over your life? Do any circumstance or group of people have the power to keep you from moving forward…..unless we surrender it?Life is going to hit us in all kind of ways but our God is bigger than the punches we endure in this lifetime no matter how hard the blows get. Remember that God gives us dreams and He has a great vision for every individual’s life.

So the question is how do you envision your life? Are you pondering the things God put in your heart to do or waiting for a new year to start it? A life with no vision is like a dead body walking around. Don’t allow unforgiveness, bitterness, regret, low self-esteem, tragedies or whatever you are dealing with to limit how you see your life. You do not have to do a vision board but you can start off with just writing your vision on a piece of paper. Hang it up in your bathroom and commit to reading it and praying over it everyday. The more you read those positive declarations, the quieter those negative thoughts will get in your mind. It is always important to pray about our vision and ask God for His direction….honestly His plan is always better than ours.

One last thing I want to share…Below is a few snippets of my vision boards. I created two vision boards: one for my physical/natural goals and one for my spiritual goals. ( It is good to know that your “inside” is just as important as the “outside”.) I have a lot to be thankful for because my life was suppose to be cut short……but God. So it’s hard to sit here or walk around dead when God stopped death from taking my life. I have a purpose despite the mistakes and crazy choices I made in my past. I committed my life to Jesus Christ and I have a right to dream BIG….because God is my Father and I’m His child. (Think about that.)

A few things I’m envisioning for my life (and to give you some ideas while you design your vision board ;)):

1. To be married to God’s best for me– I learned a hard lesson when I last dated someone that God does not approve of every relationship especially if He is not the center of it. So my desire now is to allow God to choose His man for me. When God builds your house, it will stand.

2. I want to change my style- Of course, we learn that looks are not everything but they can speak about the type of person you are. If you choose to wear tight clothes or baggy jeans, you are immediately labeled as “fast” or a “thug”. Or if you tend to wally in depression most of the time, you will start to look like it. So I want to dress myself according to my future. For example, if you plan to be in business, dress like it. Don’t resemble your past but model your future.

3. Jealousy and comparison will not be named among me. I am learning how important it is to evolve as a person. You don’t want to focus so much on the outside and forget that you are messed up on the inside. I spent too much time comparing myself to people and putting my dreams on the back burner. This year, I plan to put those demons of jealousy and comparison in their place. God created us all in a unique way so it’s a waste to envy you when the same God blessed me with wonderful talents and desires as well.

I pray this post encourage you to start tonight writing down your vision and prepare to live the life God planned for YOU. You are destined to live an extraordinary life and never forget it. Have a great year and enjoy your night peeps!

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
