To Tell the Truth

Do you believe that “truth” can bring light into your life? Or do you think that it is a burden? Some of us are made to believe that we have to bear certain truths of our past and other dark moments in our lives and not give voice to them. While others minimize the truth of successes and progress they have made in their lives that worked hard for, because they do not want to attract the ugliness of jealous and bitter eyes. The truth is not what we think it is. It is not a burden. It is not hard to hear. It is not something that we should keep hidden in order for a “lie” to live. The truth gives light to things that need to be changed, honored, but most importantly to who we are. When it comes to confronting the things that aches us in our lives, we must be able to embrace truth so we can find the pathway to healing. Healing is never rooted in lies. We can pretend like everything is okay until those ugly things pop back up again in our lives. If you seek freedom from the pain, from the lies, or just from the unrealistic expectations set by others…tell the truth. Truth is freedom. Truth allows us to rise above our trauma. Truth divides the ones with evil intent from the ones with pure hearts so we can see who needs to go and who needs to stay in our life. Truth does not give excuses to stay in toxic situations. It does not allow negative mindsets to continue to function and control our thought life. We need truth to see. We need to see the wonderful creations that we were made to be. Lies have destroyed countless lives, but the truth can resurrect what has died within us. Do not allow the pain to go on. Do not keep believing the lies about yourself and hinder forward movement in your life. God created us to live in freedom not be bound to the lies of this world. As this week begins to unfold, speak up and allow truth to shine the light on areas in your life that is longing for freedom. To tell the truth…..is life.

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
