Lie #1: I can’t.

This blog has been more of a blessing to me than you know. Each time I write to you, I’m encouraging myself as well. I do not want to be the type of person that cannot grow in life. I don’t know everything and still make mistakes even on today, but I’m willing to learn. The words “I can’t” seem to be an excuse that some of us use to get out of things. Can you record one video? I can’t. Can you write this paper? I can’t. Can you stop falling for people that are not going where you are going in life? …I can’t..I love them. Those words are only relaying the message that “You do not want to try”. Life is going to keep going regardless if we give up on something or not. When I think of the word “can”, I think “ability”. Sometimes we underestimate what we can really do and allow fear to ultimately decide that we cannot do it at all.

It’s great to admit that there are habits and things we need to change or improve, but action must follow. Fear is something that I know too well. I can plan out the things I want to do and try, but fear always rear its ugly head to convince me not to. Fear is an emotion that all of us feel, but we all have the power to not allow it to control us. We have to break loose from this notion that “change is impossible”. Change is only possible when the person believes that it is. When that belief gets planted, an “action” needs to sprout up from that seed. Taking action is simply “just do it”. Do the exercise. Do the draft for the book. Do the video. Do the program. Do what’s best for your life. When you begin to take action, “I can’t” turns to “I can”. Do not believe the lie that “You can’t”….grab hold to the truth that “YOU CAN”. You’re capable of changing for the better and propelling your life in a new direction.

This month, I want to tackle some “lies”. I know how easy it is to fall for “what we think is the truth” and become stuck in those lies for years. In order to truly move forward in life, we have to confront what’s holding us back. I pray that you found some deep truth and gain some revelation and a little encouragement from the posts this month. As always feel free to comment and share your thoughts! Good day my “freedom seekers”! 😉

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
