I have a new favorite word now…. endure. To endure is to keep going no matter what comes your way. When I look at my life now compared to previous years, I see redemption. I had to endure some hard seasons and embrace challenges that aimed to knock me completely off my feet, but those times brought the “fight” out of me. Sometimes we believe that we have to settle for the “same ole’ same”, but the truth is that we can reach for better. Redemption allows you to start over in a new space. That “space” goes beyond the external, but it encompasses the internal as well.
Some things in life do change you. Once you were this timid individual, but now you are this bold and confident person due to those life challenges. Or you probably were this irresponsible and an out-of-control person, but now you are a mature and sound-minded individual due to consequences you had to face because of your negative behavior. This is not to shame anyone, because none of us are spared from life’s trials. The great thing about life is that I can choose to follow a different direction.
No matter what you have experienced in the past, you can overcome. No matter how this year have started for you, you can experience a great end to 2022. Even if you do not see things changing, you can change YOU. I am a different woman, because of the things I experienced in the past. Every day, I am evolving into a stronger individual that is taking on this world. All of us need a “wake up call”. God gave me mine through a book I was writing, (“BE”), that talked about going from a “victimized mindset” to a “victorious individual”. I was holding on to my past, while trying to reach for the future at the same time. I had to let go or allow my past to keep me in a dark pit.
It’s time to let go of what was and start embracing what can be. You can be redeemed from that struggle, hard season, failure, disappointment, breakup, or whatever obstacle you encountered, but you have to choose to endure and wait for that beautiful blessing…
As always feel free to comment and share your thoughts! Until next week…. stay blessed!
