I have to make today count.
Life has a beginning. Life has an ending. Those are two statements that no one on this Earth can argue against. We all have an expiration date. In knowing that, what plans do you have in place to make the most out of the very life you have been blessed with? This is the same question I must answer as well. When you awaken to a new day, you have the opportunity to live out that day. In other words, you have to decide how you will use that day. Whether it’s a day of productivity or a day of rest, (not laziness or procrastination), strategize how you will tackle that day so you will not slip into this pit of “premeditated depression”. (I think I made that phrase up lol….or probably not.) “Pre-Meditated depression” is purposefully drowning yourself with thoughts of comparison, doubt, fear, or envy/jealousy, in which will ultimately lead you to this spiral of depression willingly so you will have an excuse to not live your life. I am not speaking on terms of suicide but on the subject of self-pity. Yes, life happens to us all, BUT we have to decide what to do with that tragedy in front of us. When you purposefully waste your time, you are diminishing the worth and value of your own life.
The best way to tackle depression is to get up and do something. Do not allow regret to hold you back. Do not allow “bad feelings” to control your time. Do not dare allow unforgiveness and bitterness to fog up the vision for your life. Approach the day with purpose.
As always, feel free to comment and share your thoughts or some encouragement for others as we all start our day. Happy Wednesday!
