“You saw my burning scars and watched my mishaps
Now watch me healed into a conqueror….the All-Time clapback

You saw the failing grades, me sneaking out, and my crazy exes
Now watch me succeed at being a successful, godly wife…the Mrs.

You saw the jokes they made and rumors aimed at me
Now watch me walk in God’s favor happily….sip that cup of tea

You saw how I was abused and sexually assaulted daily
Now watch me be a college graduate taking care of my babies

You saw my sickness and wished I would die in my aching pain
Now watch me restored and revived…..let the Church say Amen

You saw what was wrong with me and said I cannot be better
Now watch me walk in love, forgive, and preach God’s Word….devil”

-Excerpt from Poem “The Comeback” from Testimonies Of A Young Woman: Pieces Of My Journey

All of has a story. Some are pretty, and others are ugly. One thing that I can say as a testament of my own life is that “I overcame”. I do not want to see people living in “regret” or “condemnation” after God redeemed them from crazy situations that happened in their lives. You made it. You got out of it. You are successful. Even if you are not at the place you desired to be, you still have a whole journey ahead of you and you will soon reach that level, (and probably go beyond that). When I look at my life, I look at a woman that is making her comeback in this world. Despite the bullying, the gossip, the rebellious ways, the self-esteem issues, the sadness and tears, and bad choices, I am surpassing those setbacks. The Past is one event just like the Present and the Future. You can move on.

As always feel free to share your thoughts and some encouragement for someone else…You got this! Until next time!

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
