Fear/Break Loose/

Inspiring and encouraging others to break free from what’s holding them back from a great and fulfilling life

33 (Poetic Expression)

From my favorite collection of pictures

This moment of time has been preset for me

Stepping into the light of my destiny with a YES

Once indulged in youthful vanities well into my 20s

Deceived by the youthfulness of living life on my own

Lived the life of rebel chick; Paid the price of disobedience

After the drama and the mistakes…what do I have left?

My dignity. My pride. Or do I need to walk in integrity

So, I abandon the lies of too late and embrace MY NOW

NOW, I turned the growing pains into SHINING DIAMONDS

NOW, I stripped off old expectations and LIVE MINE

I wrote this poem to commemorate my decision to “start living”. It may sound weird, but if you ever felt like that you could be doing something else with your life outside of the ‘daily grind’ then this poem is for you. There is more to life, and one thing I will not do is live in regret. Sometimes we are pushed to believe that our “20s” are the golden yearsyou have to get married in your “20s”…you have to start a business in your “20s”….you have to literally accomplish all of your dreams in your 20s. It’s not a bad thing if you have done those things in your 20s, but life does not start at your 20s. It starts whenever you decide to start living. Don’t be fooled thinking it’s too late for you. You can still accomplish a whole lot with your life IF YOU CHOOSE TO. So don’t waste the rest of the year, push forward.

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
