Not every decision that we make is going to end with a “smiley face”. Not everyone is going to be standing by with balloons and cheers but one thing that needs to be certain is that the decision is your decision. When I look back on my life up to this point, a good portion of my decisions were made out of a growing frustration of feeling “held back” or lack of growth. For some, this may not be a major issue, but others understand the moment when we finally realize that a relationship, place, or a job either no longer serve where are going in life or was bad for us from the beginning. Decisions are not meant to please people but to give direction. The truth is that everyone is not going in the same direction.
I struggle with indecisiveness because I was focused on pleasing others rather than receiving the right direction for my life. When I chose to please someone else over what I truly wanted to do or became stuck within my own overthinking, I found myself in this zone of discomfort and discontentment because I was not at peace. Peace only came with the decisions that was right for my life.
I couldn’t continue a relationship that was not the “right fit” for me….I made a decision to wait for my match.
I couldn’t continue in a place that devalued me….I made a decision to open myself up to better opportunities.
I couldn’t allow myself to continue living in this space of condemnation over past sins….I made a decision to walk in forgiveness.
Take the courage to walk away from whatever is holding you back.
As always feel free to comment and share your thoughts…Good evening peeps!
