Fear/Break Loose/

Inspiring and encouraging others to break free from what’s holding them back from a great and fulfilling life

The Hate Note (Poem)

I told myself the other day that this is all I had to say:

Your life is better yet lived the way people said

Worthless, angry, pitiful You…..that is how you are viewed

Stop the dreaming because the future will not embrace you

I left the note pinned to my mind as I watch myself die inside

From the words I repeated over and over all day and every night

I saw my tears but did not reply with words of love that I desired

Constantly tortured the person I saw in my reflection….How dreadful

Until one day, I spotted the darkness of the lies I have written

I went through every note I memorized that distorted the view of my life

Realizing that I became the enemy to the person that I needed to release

Releasing myself to a life of peace as I tear down every lie the Enemy told me

A few years ago, I was led to write this book “BE” to help not only me but others who were dealing with some deep hurt from rejection. Sometimes you feel that you cannot bounce back from years of self-hate, depression, and the loneliness felt, but the truth is that the lies you built within your mind must be torn down. YOU ARE A PERSON OF WORTH AND VALUE. That’s not being charismatic but telling you what you truly need to know.

So the month of February is being dedicated to having real and open conversations about rejection and making the decision to overcome it. Also, this has been inspired by my book “BE: The Journey of Being, (which is what I am centering the posts for this year around)……so if you are interested in reading more…check out the link and let me know what you think! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C3RKS54 (Available in print and digital)

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
