Fear/Break Loose/

Inspiring and encouraging others to break free from what’s holding them back from a great and fulfilling life

I Am A Woman (Poem)

I have been bruised by the words of others

But my brokenness is beautiful

And the beauty speaks louder than hurt

I have been boxed in by worldly and religious standards

But my uniqueness is legendary

And the legend is GOD-PLANNED not made by man

I have been called negative things that almost destroyed me

But those lies always bow down to the truth

And the truth speaks beautifully to my soul

I have been labeled before people even got to know me

But I allow forgiveness to help me walk through                                                                  judgment

And love will knit my relationships together

I was that little girl that used my tears to disguise my voice

But I speak my pain out to allow healing to come in

And my healing propels me to a new level of maturity

I was that young lady searching for genuine love in forbidden places

But I numb the desire to place my past over the future

And my future demands my FULL ATTENTION

I am not the type to be an open book

But my mistakes are someone else’s keys to destiny

And destiny is using my struggle to fight for others

I am not giving up my life to feed death’s appetite

But I leave my past sins at the grave site

And walk in the freedom of a renewed Woman

When womanhood begins to knock on my door

It beckons me to embrace the pain so I can see the strength within

It molds me by using my past experiences to teach me WHO I AM

It reminds me that I was equipped for my journey from the beginning when God created me

As I embark on my life’s journey, I will remember this….

Made to be a woman, so I shall stand as ONE

Let me start off by saying this: I am not ashamed to be a woman. I appreciate how God made me and regardless what this culture is saying: My Womanhood will not be belittled. Maturity is a beautiful thing, and embracing Womanhood comes with quite a few dynamics but it all comes down to two words: Responsibility & Accountability….(which is crucial for both GROWN men and GROWN women to grasp). Every woman must recognize that when it comes to love, family, and even self-control (those emotions can have a mind of its own), she must make the right decision that will end in peace. So hey even it means admitting you were wrong about some things…but that’s part of growing up…Let these poetic words soak in ladies!…(Good day to the gents as well that just want to know what goes on in our heads lol!)

About Me

Hi..My name is ShuCora Walker. No, I am not the woman in the picture, but my words represent people like her. People who love good conversations. People who enjoy sharing their life stories. People who tell the truth to not only inspire but to heal, learn, and grow. I have been writing since my preteen years and found peace in letting my heart bleed out on the paper through my words. The focus of my writing has always been to share stories of triumph, struggles, and faith because God is the reason why I write. I remember at one point that I wanted to take my life, but God deemed it not to be because He still had a purpose for my life. Now, I am using my words to share my life journey so others can learn from it. Yes, one day I plan to open up this platform to other writers so we can continue to learn from different experiences of life. So, this is a space for anyone seeking to live a life of real freedom and enjoy some good moments along the way…
